Getting Spam?
Home

Nobody likes spam -- including us.

If you've received spam or any other undesirable mail that shows a GSEF.com sender address -- it did not come from us.

All GSEF.com mail accounts are strictly limited and monitored.  No unauthorized user can create a GSEF.com account.

It's not difficult for a malicious sender to fake the return address of an email.  That's what has happened if you got any annoying emails that supposedly came from GSEF.com.

Ways to Cut Down on Spam:

Protect your email address.  Sounds easy, but it can be inconvenient.

If you post your email address online, try using the form shown on our Contact page:  No active address for evil spambots to read and steal, but a human reader can figure out the address easily.  (If he can't, do you really want him writing to you?)

Don't ever send passwords, credit card numbers or other personal information in an email.

Don't post your email address on public sites like chat rooms, message boards, etc.  Spammers have software to search out these addresses.

If you do use your primary address for public usage like this, be sure that you've got top quality spam filtering software in place, either provided by your ISP, or purchased and installed on your own system.

Never respond to unsolicited email unless you recognize the sender's name.  If you do, you tell the sender that your address is valid.  That means no more sending nasty notes back to the spammers!

Never click on a URL or any other form of link contained in a spam email.  This sends the same information to the bad guys.

Never forward spam chain letters.  You're just littering the superhighway.  This advice specifically includes those endless "cute" emails and "guaranteed true" strange stories.

You may choose to ignore some or all of this advice.  That's up to you.  But you can be sure that you'll never get any spam from GSEF.com.
